The Ready Radio UV-32 Starter Kit is everything you need to go from zero to comms competent in one package. We took our custom-programmed Baofeng UV-32, added a field-proven antenna upgrade, a spare battery, model-specific Comms Cards, and a Ready Radio pouch to carry it all. There's no software to learn and no frequencies to hunt down. Charge it, key up, and communicate.

Every UV-32 in this kit is professionally programmed by the Ready Radio team with our proven channel lineup, customized to your zip code. It comes loaded with ham, GMRS, MURS, FRS, NOAA weather, marine, and emergency interoperability channels. They're organized into a clean layout that makes sense whether this is your first radio or your fiftieth. We handle the programming. You handle the mission.

The UV-32 is a tri-band handheld that transmits on VHF, UHF, and 1.25m with selectable 10W / 5W / 2W power. It also receives FM broadcast, AM airband, and NOAA weather, so you keep situational awareness from a single radio. Built-in GPS puts your latitude, longitude, and altitude on screen and lets you share your position with your team. When you're ready to go deeper, it supports Bluetooth app programming on iOS and Android, plus CHIRP and CPS.

The stock antenna gets you started. The ZBM2 Foul Weather Whip V2 gets you heard. This ~20" dual-band whip is tuned for 2m/70cm, adds up to +3 dBi of gain, and uses a reinforced no-sag design that holds its shape even in extreme cold. The quarter-turn BNC quick-disconnect lets you swap between antennas in seconds.

A spare 2500 mAh Li-ion battery means you're never stuck waiting on a charger. Keep one on the radio and one in the pouch, and stay on the air through long days, long nights, and grid-down weekends.

The stock antenna is a compromise. The ZBM2 Foul Weather Whip is a longer, tuned dual-band antenna that adds up to +3 dBi of gain on 2m and 70cm, improving both transmit and receive range. Its no-sag design holds its shape in wind, rain, and extreme cold.
It's tuned for 2m (VHF) and 70cm (UHF), where most of your communicating will happen. For the 1.25m band, switch back to the stock antenna.
Yes. The UV-32 supports Bluetooth programming through the Baofeng app on iOS and Android, plus CHIRP and CPS software. If you'd rather not deal with it, our consulting team can handle custom programming for you.
