Do I need a license to use these radios?

It depends on the radio:

  • GMRS radios: require a one-time FCC license (no test).
  • HAM (amateur) radios: require a license with a simple multiple-choice test.
  • We provide detailed guidance on what requires a license and what doesn’t.
What’s the difference between GMRS, FRS, and HAM?

Here’s the quick answer:

  • FRS: No license required, limited power.
  • GMRS: More range, needs a license.
  • HAM: Most capable, license/test required.
How fast do you ship?

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days. If a product is backordered, we’ll let
you know at checkout or via email.
Do you ship internationally?

Yes, but we only ship to Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
What’s your return policy?

We accept returns within 14 days for unused items in original packaging. For
