Repeat-R — One Click Simplex Repeater & Field Comms System

The Repeat-R is a rugged, portable simplex repeater kit built to extend your radio range quickly and reliably. Packaged in a waterproof case and paired with a high-gain ZBM2 antenna, Repeat-R lets you convert a single handheld into a temporary repeater with one setup — no tower, no permanent install, and no complicated programming. Choose a compact analog or DMR radio (GM-21 or DM-32 options) to fit your workflow; Repeat-R works with CB, FRS, PMR, amateur (ham), mobile radios — and supports DMR with encryption.

Key benefits
  • Instant range — extend handheld coverage across a campsite, neighborhood, convoy, or incident site with a portable repeater solution.
  • Field-proof hardware — fully waterproof case, watertight USB-C charging outputs, and a waterproof female BNC for easy antenna hookup.
  • Plug-and-play — ships with a preconfigured radio option (analog or DMR) so teams can deploy in minutes.
  • Secure digital support — DMR encryption capable when paired with a compatible radio.
Typical use cases
  • Emergency response nets and search & rescue staging areas
  • Family/neighbor GMRS or CB convoys during evacuations
  • Remote work sites and off-grid homesteads
  • Range-day/event communications and temporary nets
  • Quick deployment for community events or incident command posts

  • Remote work sites and off-grid homesteads
  • Range-day/event communications and temporary nets
  • Quick deployment for community events or incident command posts
Key Features
  • Waterproof rugged case — IP-rated enclosure protects electronics in wet or dusty environments.
  • ZBM2 high-gain antenna — improves receive/transmit range when used as a base/mobile mount.
  • Waterproof USB-C power outputs — dual USB-C bulkheads let you charge both the radio and the repeater controller from the same power source.
  • Waterproof female BNC — quick-connect RF port for antennas and external coax runs.
  • Radio of your choice — select a ready-to-use analog (GM-21) or DMR (DM-32) radio option at purchase.
  • Simplex repeater operation — the device records incoming transmissions and retransmits them on the same frequency, enabling extended range without a full duplex repeater. Ideal for disaster response, temporary nets, and low-cost range extension.
  • Voicemail / recorded messages — on-board message boxes let you record and playback up to three saved announcements for check-ins, status updates, or automated alerts (total configurable recording time up to ~180 seconds).
  • Auto message send — configurable periodic broadcast of prerecorded announcements (15 / 30 / 45 minute intervals).
  • DTMF remote control — full remote operation via DTMF tones from your radio: enable/disable repeater, record/play messages, change settings, and trigger functions without opening the case.
  • User-changeable DTMF password — secure the repeater against unauthorized control.
  • Adjustable audio & level metering — hardware and remote controls to set transmit/record levels; visual indicators for optimal audio.
  • Roger-beep & playback controls — set audible confirmations and replay last transmission on demand.
  • High-quality voice capture — tuned audio sampling for clear playback and intelligible recordings.
  • Always-on when powered — device begins operation automatically when DC power is present for simple unattended deployments.
  • Works with wide range of radios — compatible with common handhelds and mobile sets; optional cabling available for specific models.
  • Warranty — 1 year on the complete unit; extended coverage on memory/flash components.

  • Compatibility: CB, FRS, PMR, Amateur (ham), Mobile radios; DMR with encryption supported

Notes & support

Repeat-R is designed for quick deployment and reliable everyday use. Because the unit uses simplex repeating (receive then retransmit on the same frequency), transmissions will be replayed with a short delay — a small tradeoff for low-cost, portable range extension. Detailed setup and DTMF command reference are provided with the product for easy field programming and secure operation. For advanced integration or custom cabling, contact our support team for options and accessory kits.

What's included
  • Repeat-R waterproof case with integrated controller
  • ZBM2 antenna and waterproof female BNC connector
  • Dual waterproof USB-C bulkheads (power out)
  • Choice of radio (select GM-21 analog or DM-32 DMR/encrypted option)
  • Mounting hardware and quick-start guide
How it works
  1. Mount the ZBM2 antenna to the waterproof BNC and place Repeat-R in a high/central location.
  2. Power the unit via USB-C (solar, battery pack, or vehicle 12V converter). The controller powers on automatically.
  3. Tune participating radios to the same frequency and test — transmissions received by Repeat-R are recorded briefly and retransmitted on the same channel to extend coverage.
  4. Use DTMF commands from any authorized radio to change repeat timing, playback messages, or secure the unit.
